Work In Progress
Bridges[ | ]
Ok calling them 'Bridges' isn't entirely accurate. They're all actually control rooms which CAN be bridges when wired up with a navigation designator, which some have an empty internal for. Anyway, despite this error I will use both terms because inconsistency has character.
As for what they are for; they allow you to pilot your ship and/or operate designated weapons and systems. They can be set up as the one bridge on board or can be a secondary, tertiary, quaternary, quinary, senary, septenary, octonary, nonary, or even denary control room. Such control rooms can be wired to control other weapons and/or systems too, although wiring multiple rooms to the same component is just asking for a mid-flight mess. Also each bridge can support a limited number of special systems.
Tier 1 Bridges[ | ]
A bunch of control rooms added after the Tier 2's were already in. As a result they tend to be more odd and 'charismatic' instead of actually coming in a practical range of sizes. But you're stuck with these at the start and will just have to grit your teeth, sucker.
