The 0.4.0.00 version of Zero Falls introduced the dynamic economy to the game where civilian traders travel around between various inhabited stations acting as trade nodes and buying or selling goods between each, looking for the highest-paying routes. This gives the player new opportunities to engage in piracy, with the aforementioned highest-paying routes being the most populated they provide and ideal target for smash-and-grab attacks. Exotic matter, Armor, Weapons and other equipment which previously would have been solely dumped into a furnace on the home station can now be sold at various central trading nodes. The player can also join the ranks of the civilian traders and buy goods at one station to sell at a profit to another though this isn't nearly as profitable as avoiding paying for the goods by stealing them from another ship. The various trade goods which can now be traded are displayed in the table below.
