===Spawning and Arming Ships=== <gallery> Image:Designer_tut_basic_4.png|To create your first new [[Ship Design|design]], click on the spawn ship button... Image:Designer_tut_basic_10.png|Then in the ship/design spawning interface. Enter the name of your new variant into the text box and click the 'Clone Design' button. This takes you to the designer. Image:Designer_tut_basic_1.png|Whilst you don't have many modules on hand to begin with, you do have conduits and armor... Image:Designer_tut_basic_2.png|So you can rewire basic designs to move power around more effectively... Image:Designer_tut_basic_3.png|And up-armor basic designs where needed. The structure module is optional, but remember to keep integrity at least 10% above inertia. Image:Designer_tut_basic_10.png|Now it's done. Click 'Spawn Ship' and click on the lower arrow buttons to cycle through the designs until you get to your new design. Image:Designer_tut_basic_4.png|Hurray! Your new ship has been made. Now click on the ship to select it in the arming interface. Image:Designer_tut_basic_5.png|Now a bunch of red dropdown boxes appear, let's click on the top left one... Image:Designer_tut_basic_6.png|It's a fixed mount so there's only a fixed machine gun available for it. Let's assign the fixed MG to both fixed mounts. Image:Designer_tut_basic_7.png|Now for the lower two tiny mounts, by default there is either the machine gun or 150mm autocannon available. The tiny rail repeater and tiny hail cannon are both blueprints you can acquire from hostile ships wandering around. Let's select the machine gun. Image:Designer_tut_basic_station.png|Now you've made your design variant, spawned your ship, and armed it. It's time to press F to leave the Logistics screen and board your new ship. Image:Designer_tut_basic_8.png|Now it's time to fly off and find some jerk to blast in order to judge the design's combat effectiveness against the base design. Image:Designer_tut_basic_9.png|Target acquired, press the . (period) key to turn off ammo conservation and hold down that RMB to fire. Remember to also hold down LMB and hold your cursor over the enemy ship to maintain your orientation towards it. Image:Designer_tut_basic_result.png|Now the enemy ship's weapon reactor has exploded and both crew members have fallen out. This design reloads much faster than the base design. Go forth and commit murder. </gallery>
